Renan's training
Renan Gobbet Hernandez completed his NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner training at PAHC (Brazil) and holds NLP Trainer certification from NLP University, Santa Cruz (NLPU 400). Mapaterra certificates are issued by Mapaterra, not by NLP University, and are offered for the Practitioner and Master Practitioner levels only.
Where NLP comes from
- Alfred Korzybski (1933): "the map is not the territory".
- Gregory Bateson: systems thinking, logical types and levels of learning.
- Richard Bandler and John Grinder (1970s): modeled Fritz Perls, Virginia Satir and Milton Erickson, and created NLP.
- The early developers: Robert Dilts, Judith DeLozier, Leslie Cameron-Bandler, David Gordon, Steve and Connirae Andreas and others extended the field.
- John Grinder and Judith DeLozier: the New Code of NLP.
- Systemic NLP: Robert Dilts, Judith DeLozier and Todd and Teresa Epstein, who founded NLP University in Santa Cruz (1991). Stephen Gilligan's generative work shaped its later developments.

Where a model's origin is not settled, we say so in the lesson rather than guess.
How we use sources
We teach these ideas in our own words and examples, name their developers, and do not reproduce copyrighted manuals or texts. Where we summarize a published model, we say so and point to the original work.
Trademarks
Time Line Therapy® is a registered mark of its owner. Success Factor Modeling™ is claimed by Dilts Strategy Group. Other names belong to their respective owners and are used only to credit their work. Mapaterra is not endorsed by them.
Science and safety
Mapaterra is coaching and learning, not therapy or medical care. Our lessons cite research that supports what we teach, without claiming that NLP as a whole is scientifically proven. Our safety protocol explains what the coach does when someone is struggling.
